Description

NGC 4762 is an edge-on, lenticular galaxy, so in its development between the standard spiral- and an elliptical galaxy, about 60million lightyears away, with nice tidal waves on its edges, in the constellation Virgo. And yes, it IS that colorless, no Halpha knots, no blue stars, no yellow stars, as seen here in the image taken by the HST:
